Where it all begins.......
For most of his blades, Bryan uses 5160 steel which he reclaims from leaf springs of cars and trucks. Using a torch, he cuts a piece from the leaf spring in the approximate length of the blade.
Next.....
​Next, he hand forges it to thickness and shape.


And then.....
Then, to the grinder it goes to finish the shaping and refine the profile of the blade.
Almost There!
Next, the elk antler scales get pinned on to the blade with brass pins.
